Introduction
The Release Working Group (RWG) is a dedicated body within the Zephyr Project responsible for ensuring timely, high-quality, and well-coordinated software releases. The group operates with transparency, inclusivity, and efficiency to meet the diverse needs of the Zephyr community and stakeholders. The RWG oversees the entire release lifecycle, from planning and criteria definition to execution and post-release evaluation.
Objectives
- Establish and execute a robust release process to ensure consistency, quality, and predictability in Zephyr releases.
- Define and enforce criteria that govern the inclusion of features, bug fixes, and other contributions in a given release.
- Facilitate collaboration among developers, maintainers, and other stakeholders to address release-blocking issues and ensure smooth delivery.
- Provide clear and accessible documentation, timelines, and communication around each release.
